About me
Ryan Welsh is the chief design strategist at Providence Day School in Charlotte, NC. In this role, Ryan leads IDEAS@PD, as well as designing and facilitating strategic conversations and experiences for the PDS senior leadership team.
He teaches design thinking and English in the upper school and a special area class for 5th grade students called “IDEAS Lab.” Across all of these efforts, he is charged with perpetuating intersected, interconnected learning experiences driven by student passion and curiosity.
He earned a B.A. in English and philosophy from Duke University, an M.A. in the humanities from the University of Chicago, and a Ph.D. in curriculum & instruction from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
